Hana Plaza
The building is being given a face-lift, and a completely new interior.

On the southwest corner of Little River Turnpike and Markham Street the existing two story building next to VCA Animal Hospital has begun re-construction. In the future, it will be known as Hana Plaza. The building is being given a face-lift, and a completely new interior. Also, the site surrounding these two buildings will be upgraded, with new parking lots and new landscaping.

The building will include a new façade, a two-story foyer and a new rear entrance. The existing open courtyard on the second floor will be covered with a translucent roof and contain an ornamental water feature. This two-story sky lit foyer will include a chandelier, which will be seen at night from Little River Turnpike.

The front facade will include a new window system, new canopies and columns. There will be tastefully colored vertical banners, and low-key signage. The front wall surfaces will be state-of-the-art architectural panels, either brick or plain faced. A pyramid skylight over the foyer will be repeated at the rear entrance glazed pavilion.

Currently, there is minimal landscaping at this site along Little River Turnpike. The site improvements will include additional trees and other planting. There will be a reduction in vehicular entrances from both Little River Turnpike and Markham Street to make a safer traffic pattern.

The existing 30,000 square foot building is virtually empty. The proposed plan will provide four upgraded retail spaces, available for tenant up-fit, about 3,000 sf. each, on the first floor; and eight office/retail spaces, from 840 to 1,860 sf, on the second floor. The proposed time for completion of the base construction is about six months.
