The Annandale Parade

Fourth Saturday in October beginning at 10 AM. The annual parade dates back to 1950 and attracts an enormous attendance. Marching along Columbia Pike from the historic white church near Gallows Road all the way to Markham Place, thousands of participants from Clowns, Storybook Characters, and Marching Bands to Antique & Military Cars, Fire Trucks, Civic Organizations, Scouts, and beautifully costumed International Dancers will parade before the residents of Greater Annandale. Sponsored by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce, this 68 year old tradition only gets bigger and better every year.
The Parade's Grand Marshal will, after the police and fire escorts, lead the parade past the reviewing stand and continue to Markham Place. Judges will vote on the best music/dance group, best costume, and best float. The most popular announcer in the Parade's history, Bob Reuss, will be back again to provide his enthusiastic color commentary on the procession.
Children in the community are invited to watch the parade in their Halloween costumes and to collect the frequent gifts of candy that the marching groups hand-out making for a day of family fun?
If your organization wishes to participate, entry forms must be received in the Chamber office by October 12, 2020 and are available at www.annandalechamber.com under Our Events. If space fills prior to October 12, 2020, regretfully your participation can not be accepted.
