Annandale enjoys great cultural diversity and all are welcome and treasured for adding to the depth of culture, food and traditions. However, an accurate portrayal of the business community is important, especially when all too often misrepresented. Only 23% of the business community in Annandale is Korean or Korean/American while less than 8% of the residential population is Korean or Korean American.
Demographics are significant for prospective new retailers to understand. Because of excessive signage, often in violation of county code, and wide-spread efforts to falsely portray Annandale as a Korean majority community, visitors can be confused. These are the correct demographics and should be used in forward planning.
