THE ANNANDALE FLAG: . The image of the Annandale Flag is owned by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce, and protected by copywrite. The field of the Annandale flag is St. Andrew’s blue. The shade of blue was selected to match the Scottish flag, recalling that the community is named after the river and town of Annan in southwestern Scotland. White stripes form a symbolic map of Columbia Pike and Little River Turnpike, the historic roads that converge at Tollhouse Park in the heart of the community, and have led to Annandale being known as, “The Crossroads of Northern Virginia. TM” At their intersection is an elongated red oval containing a stylized version of the Annandale logo: a dogwood tree with a cardinal nestled in its branches. Following the tradition of our Scottish namesake, Annandale has always taken immense pride in showing hospitality and opportunity to all nationalities who settle here.
