Fairfax County Office of Election

The Annandale Chamber of Commerce does not endorse individual candidates or political parties, but does urge everyone to exercise their democratic right to vote.   The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.  REMEMBER to bring a valid photo ID.  See below for details. 

What is on the Ballot?

  • You will be asked to vote for the office of Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General of the Commonwealth of VA along with the Delegate representing your district in the Virginia General Assembly. 

  • There is also a $315 million public school bond referendum on the ballot.

In Virginia you must bring a photo ID to your polling place.  Acceptable forms of photo ID are:

  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License or Identification Card
  • Valid Virginia DMV issued Veteran’s ID card
  • Valid United States Passport
  • Other government-issued photo identification cards (must be issued by US Government, the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a political subdivision of the Commonwealth)
  • Tribal enrollment or other tribal ID issued by one of 11 tribes recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Valid college or university student photo identification card (must be from an institution of higher education located in Virginia)
  • Valid student ID issued by a public school or private school in Virginia displaying a photo
  • Employee identification card containing a photograph of the voter and issued by an employer of the voter in the ordinary course of the employer’s business.
